I have mentioned that I work with an adoption agency. We adopted both of our daughters through the Gladney Center for Adoption based in Fort Worth, TX. I now work with them in their Asia programs, China & Taiwan. Since Tuesdays are our adoptive/foster family day I decided to introduce you to a child who is waiting for a family each Tuesday.
And the first little one I want to introduce is Alanna. She is from Taiwan and I have met her in person several times. She is just darling!!

Alanna will be 5 in May. She has a smile that just grabs your heart and squeezes a bit. She is a determined little kiddo! She has cerebral palsy that effects her left side. She can walk independently and enjoys a good dance party! She feeds herself and can grip a crayon and scribble lightly. She isn’t talking a lot yet but does say some words and can imitate sounds really well.

Alanna needs a family who can help her reach her full potential, but mostly she needs a family to call her own. She needs love and care. She needs parents. She needs what we all need: FAMILY.

If you would like more information about Alanna or about adoption from Taiwan please contact mary.chapman@gladney.org.

P.S. Taiwan has strict privacy laws. Alanna is an advocacy name given to protect her privacy. We also are not allowed to publicly post photos of children’s full faces. To see more photos and videos of Alanna please join our private Facebook group!
